Austraining International was proud to support International Volunteers Day and the 10th anniversary of the International Year of the Volunteer by Celebrating Volunteers and the brilliant work they do around the world.

Dozens of International Volunteers Day activities in Australia and countries across Asia, the Pacific, Africa and Latin America were held with our support.  Embracing the theme ‘Celebrate Volunteers’, our volunteers, Returned Volunteers, Australian Partner Organisations and other stakeholders helped drive global recognition for the contribution of Australian Volunteers  towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. 

In Kiribati, Australian Volunteers organised a volunteer appreciation day at a local sports complex, incorporating games, activities and food and drink stalls. To read more about Australian Volunteers in Kiribati, click here. In Nepal, our In-Country Management team hosted a lunch which was attended by Canadian volunteers. In Adelaide, Returned Volunteers put on a picnic in the picturesque parklands.
